The Feis (it's an Irish Gaelic word and it's pronounced "Fesh") is a festival of Irish dance, music and culture.  Highlighted are competitions in which participants demonstrate their skills in Irish dancing, piping, singing, recitation and story-telling, (including in the Irish language), painting, athletics and other aspects of Irish culture.  Click here for more details and a schedule.

Shopping area:  a number of vendors of Irish imports and crafts will display their wares for sale.  Click here for a list of vendors.

 Children's activities:   the Feis has a special children's games and activities area set aside with a variety of fun and safe activities to occupy young children.

Park amenities: Hempstead Harbor Beach State Park boasts a scenic beach, picnic areas and ample free parking.  Click here for more information.

Admission:  $10.  Children under 16 free with paid adult.
